Reliability Analysis
Reliability analysis is important to achieving high levels of equipment availability, high asset performance and low cost operations. It is often overlooked, or assigned to junior engineers. Without adequate experience those engineers struggle to make a difference, get disappointed, and move elsewhere.
Reliability is built in.
Are you achieving it?
Reliability analysis tells us if we are achieving what our equipment should be capable of achieving. Reliability is an attribute of your equipment and systems design. It can’t be easily changed. In operation there are many factors that conspire to reduce it. Abuse the equipment or fail to perform the right maintenance and your equipment will let you know.
There is also much you can do to make sure it is is achieved.
Analyzing Work Orders to learn about Reliability:
- Where do you have recurring (chronic) problems with equipment or systems?
- Why do you have those problems?
- Which PMs are most effective? Which are not?
- Can you identify where maintenance resources are being used needlessly, or where they are making even more work?
- Can you get the reports you need to analyze your data? Do you need programmer help to get them?
You can learn from your own data by applying artificial intelligence enabled analytics.

Consumption of spares and inventory levels are driven by reliability.
Spare parts and Supply Chain:
- Do you have excessive levels of inventory but poor service to maintenance needs?
- Are you relying too heavily on rush deliveries?
- Is maintenance work held up because of parts?
- Analysis of your maintenance and inventory management data can reveal a great deal.
- Remotely we can analyze your data and provide a variety of reports tailored to your needs. There’s no need to travel or come to your site. We only need access to the data, either directly or send us data files.
