Rapid Reliability Assessment

Balancing cost, performance and risk

Where are your operations?

What does it achieve?

Our Rapid Reliability Assessment gives you a list of what you can do to increase operational efficiency, reducing costs and increasing revenues, including quick wins and longer term activities, along with a business case for change.

It is designed for smaller operations, typically in a single site or small campus, with annual revenues in the tens to one hundred million dollars.

Leverage our deep subject matter expertise

We literally wrote the books on maintenance and reliability management, and we have decades of experience achieving and exceeding client expectations.

RRA leverages our knowledge of physical assets and what problems arise with them, our ability to rapidly get to their root causes, and deep insight into how to deal with them. Our fresh set of experienced eyes will spot quick wins you are likely missing, and those deeper problems that have held you back. You can get both immediate, short term, and longer term results that compound on each other.

Typical results

Cost savings of 20% to 30% of your maintenance costs (often 4% to 6% of operating costs) are typical. If you can sell all that you produce then revenue gains are often 10 times that dollar value. Savings go directly to the bottom line, output increases to the top.

What we look for

Breakdowns happen – some are inevitable. Many can be prevented or predicted. That enables you to minimize their impacts if your maintenance program is effective. We’ll evaluate the effectiveness of your maintenance program.

Execution of that program at lowest cost requires efficiency in your management practices. We will evaluate the efficiency of maintenance execution.

Why us?

Without in-house subject matter expertise, work crews get embroiled in day-to-day repairs. They are too busy to deal with improvements, even if they spot them. Today’s status quo doesn’t change and complacency sets in.

Our subject matter expert is familiar with your environment and industry, spots opportunities, including the low hanging fruit, and provides both an estimate of what you stand to gain by making changes, and a roadmap to follow in achieving it. Low hanging fruit is clearly identified for your immediate attention.

Time and Cost

Rapid Reliability Assessment requires 3 days onsite.

Pricing is at an affordable level for smaller operations. Ask us about pricing. It includes: preliminary data gathering, all on-site activities, business case development, a summary report (delivered while on site) and a report with detailed recommendations, within one week of our visit. Expenses for travel and living, if any, are extra.

Getting started

We start in a free call with the site General Manager (or equivalent). We’ll identify your goals for the assessment, dates to carry it out, and provide a sense of what will happen on site while there. Let’s talk – contact us directly.
